🌌A Sky And Sea 🌊
Writing book: Milon Khan
The Sky and the Sea had always been inseparable. They stretched endlessly, one above the other, mirroring each other's moods. When the Sky was a brilliant, cloudless blue, the Sea sparkled with a million diamonds.
But when the Sky turned dark and stormy, the Sea would churn and roar, matching its fury.
One day, a mischievous Wind whispered to the Sea, "Don't you ever wonder what lies beyond the horizon? The Sky gets to see so much, while you are forever bound to this place." The Sea, usually content, began to ponder this. A longing stirred within its depths.
The next morning, the Sea tried to reach for the Sky. It sent its waves crashing higher and higher, stretching, yearning. But no matter how high they leaped, they always fell back.
The Sky, observing the Sea's struggle, felt a pang of sadness.
The Sky then had an idea. It called upon the Sun to warm the Sea. Slowly, gently, the Sea began to rise, not in crashing waves, but in a fine, delicate mist. It floated upwards, becoming clouds, soft and white, finally able to touch the Sky.
Now, the Sky and the Sea were truly together, connected in a way neither had imagined. And sometimes, when the clouds grew heavy with their shared journey, the Sky would weep gentle rain, returning the Sea's tears in a loving embrace.
A Sky And Sea story
Based on mythology and creative prompts, here is a story about the sky and sea.
The great divide
In the beginning, there was only the Sky and the Sea, vast entities of immense power and ancient affection. Sky was a brilliant, endless blue, and Sea a deep, mysterious navy. They were inseparable, with the low-hanging Sky's edge gently kissing the Sea's surface in an eternal embrace. The gentle caress of Sky's clouds reflected in Sea's calm waters, and the Sea's roars of joy echoed through Sky's open expanse.
But an ancient, lonely bird, tired of flying without rest, grew weary of the empty world. It longed for a place to perch, a place of solid ground. The clever bird decided to create one. It flew down to the water and whispered to the Sea, "The Sky says you are a useless body of water, good for nothing but creating waves".
Enraged by this betrayal, the Sea roared, "How dare they say that? I am greater than the Sky can ever wish to be!". The bird, seeing its plot work, pushed further, "The Sky also says you are too unpredictable and can't be relied upon".
The Sea, now in a furious frenzy, churned with dark anger, its waves building into colossal mountains of water. Finally, the waters surged upwards, crashing into the low-hanging Sky.
The dawn of land
Shocked by the assault, the Sky thundered its retaliation, striking the Sea with bolts of lightning. As the great battle raged, the Sky hurled immense rocks downward, and the Sea pushed up great masses of earth from its depths. The relentless struggle created the jagged coastlines and towering mountains, the deep valleys and vast plains.
Finally, exhausted by their unending conflict, the Sky and Sea grew calm. The bird, witnessing the new land, sighed with relief, finally finding a place to rest its tired wings.
A reunion at sunset
With the world now filled with life, the Sky and Sea came to regret their separation. Their argument had brought forth a new world, but at the cost of their intimacy. Their love for one another, however, was far too strong to be extinguished by distance.
Seeing their sorrow, the gods of the new world promised them an eternity of reunion. "Every day, when the sun sets into the Sea, you will meet for a moment of eternity," the gods declared. And so, in a tribute to the life that was created from their conflict, the sun dips into the horizon, creating a flash of green light where they meet.
Since that day, the Sky and Sea have remained separated, but their love endures. Every sunset is a reminder of their eternal bond, a promise that after every storm, their peace and love will return.
